How to Create this Kitchen!

This classic kitchen starts off with an Anasazi style cabinet door which is similar to a shaker but with a raised panel on the inside. We used a basic white paint (Kwal, Old Whisper White) and also added doors on the back of the island for extra storage.

On the counter tops we used a "Bonno" Granite which has a lot of movement and warmth in the colors. My clients wanted to pick a piece of granite that would balance out the dark kitchen backsplash with the white cabinets and this piece was the perfect middle ground.

On the backsplash we did a Bedrosians Moka 4X12 glossy wall tile with a Misty Gray grout. Rather than blend the grout in with the tile we chose to offset the color and stagger the tiles on thirds rather than a brick set to help modernize the space.

The hood was custom built and is our signature "heritage hood" without the corbels.

The stunning pendants are from Wilkinsons Lighting and are Vaxcel seeded glass mini pendants.

The sink is a Lexicon white quartz sink with a 50/50 bowl and the faucet is the Moen arbor collection in stainless steel.

The wall color in this space is Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray
The hardwood tile floor is Bedrosians River Wood Taupe

All the appliances were done by Whirlpool purchased from Carpets Plus Design in St. George Utah.

The matte black cabinet pulls were purchased from here at Lowes.com

Sometimes it can be difficult to add warmth to white kitchens, but the mix of these natural colors like the taupe hardwood tile and the Moka backsplash definitely helps.

  2. This looks amazing! The backsplash is definitely amazing and puts everything together! I'm thinking of buying this quartz countertop I saw here https://www.caesarstoneus.com/blog/10-kitchen-island-with-quartz-top-ideas-for-new-homeowners/ and I think it would look good with a mostly white kitchen just like the one in your blog. What do you think?
