Kitchen Trends
Invest In High End Appliances!
If you can afford it, investing in your kitchen appliances will never be a decision you'll regret. We spend most of our time in our kitchens as families and Viking has 24 amazing colors to choose from. A little afraid of color? Go with a classic white!!! Viking Tuscany Line
Gold and Copper Accents:
Whether
its cabinet hardware, plumbing fixtures, or lighting….gold is here to stay
(brushed gold is my preference) so incorporate it into your kitchen if you like
it. Photo Credit
Farmhouse Sinks
Farmhouse
sinks are back with a vengeance as consumers are wanting a touch of that
vintage charm in their kitchens. Farmhouse sinks are a lot deeper than the
modern stainless steel under mount sink and the design enables you to stand
directly in front of the sink with no cabinets or counter top in the way. Photo Credit
Glass Cabinets and Open Shelving
Swap out some doors for glass to add some dimension to your kitchen. Open shelving is also huge right
now as kitchen décor continues to trend on social media. Photo Credit
2 Toned Kitchens
Mixing cabinet colors is very trendy right now whether its white and blue, white and black, or gray and white. Use white as your staple and you can pretty much mix in any other color. Stay with a simple shaker door when implementing this design feature.
Unique Lighting
Splurge on really unique lighting in your kitchen. Pendant lights can act as a focal point in the room and are relatively easy to swap out with changing tastes. Photo Credit
The kitchen is called the "heart of the home!" Make sure your kitchen reflects who you are and don't be afraid to make it beautiful! My philosophy in design is "where form meets function" and just because its a kitchen does not mean it has to look like any old room.
Nice blog and design.
